I’ve had the itch to paint for the past few days; however, I have been knee deep in working on the website.  This morning I took time and sat at my easel.  The meditative bliss that comes will painting was a well-worth reward. 

I started with a very simple painting based on a pen drawing I did a few weeks ago.  I worked on a simple rose bud.  The weather has been grey and rainy here.  This morning the sun was shining, and I was looking to capture that beauty in my art. While the rose is simplistic in nature, it has a beauty.  Often, I find some of the simplest pieces of art that I do are the most fulfilling.
